Tuning-tools have individual connector(s), cables

with differnet functionaliy and pinout, so the traditional bench cables and pin-to-pin cables are not the same and not compatible. Even our Express Cable cannot be connected directly. – all have been started from here

So that is a big problem, the tools output, the connectors are not unified. Why? If you have several tuning tools, your bench cables are not compatible.

You have to buy several cables, adapters, and it is a nightmare to pairing the cables, tools, adapters, checking the manuals, compatibility, rewiring the ECU when swapping the toos during a tuning / clone / repair session. It is timewasting and many times impossible.

We had to go through this complexity first because of the compatibility of our own Express cable, but then we realized that it goes much further.

We have created an affordable and plug&play adapter series for the most commonly used tuning tools. With its help, the connection and even the operation, are now UNIFORM.

Our unified connector (that is a usual D-SUB15) not only compatible with our Express cable, but all your previous existing cables can be easily converted and then used with ALL TUNING TOOLS! (The conversion can be done with an adapter or using a 0.5 EUR DB15 connector. – by replacing the old one, to DB15. – if yours have the same DB15 it is enough to relocate the wires in it)

All adapters forward / switching the power supply lines like GND and +12V
All adapters output is UCP standard DB15. That means all of your old (but standardized) bench cables have become compatible with all of listed tools. (One exception is DFOX adapter.)
*1 GPT3 (25/IDC26) and Vpp are not connected. When using with Express no GPT3/Vpp required for full functionality. In V2 the GPT3 and Vpp will be connected too.
*2 Boot/CNF/Reset signals are accessible directly from the tool’s outputs. While other lines go through the adapter.
*3 Flex has no GPT output. The adapter generates only 10kHz-15.6kHz GPTs others can be added later. When using with Express no GPT required for full functionality. Only V2 (sold from 2025) Flex adapter is UCP compatible.
*4 This adapter powers the ECU on desk, and connects it to any OBD2 diag tool or flasher to manage it in OBD mode. You can use Express with it, but also can attach any other UCP (pin compatible) traditional bench cables. You can do resets, adaptations, calibrations and check the ECU on desk with this OBD2 adapter.
*5 Express V1 connects directly to Autotuner, but this adapter standardizes the connecting surfaces and make it compatible with the extension cable and UCP cables. GPT: ‘Boot’ connector’s 13,14 pins are pass-through, ‘OBD’ port’s 2, 3 pins coupled inside.
*6 DFOX doesn’t have GPT output and there is no GPT generator in our adapter neither. -because of Express doesn’t need it for full functionality. So this adapter can’t drive the traditional bench-cables, it is not UCP compatible. To make DFOX UCP compatible you can use Galetto adapter with it. (In this arrangement you have to attach Bench-BoxV2 too – that is not required if using DFOX adapter + Express Cable.)
*7 Adapter manages all. EDC16 ME(D)9 (with a small board – included) and the others via CMD’s boot box.
*8 2in1 adapter for Galetto. It makes Galetto UCP compatible, and also ensures compatibility with Express Cable. There is a switch on it, to select which mode you need. “Bench+Ultra” box is needed to be connected. This adapter also suits for DFOX, and makes it UCP compatible.

OBD2 on desk – diag / tuning any ECU?

This unified platform is limitless. If you’d like to use diagnostic tools, (like Launch, Texa, Autel, Thinktool, AutoCom, VCDS, deal level ones) or even OBD tuning protocols on an ECU that is on your desk, it is not easy.

There’s nothing special, but you need to power the ECU and connect the CAN / K-line, take care of powering the diagnostic / tuning tool, and turning the ECU on and off.

Our OBD2 UA does this job in one step. There is an OBD2 socket where you connect any compatible tool’s OBD plug. The other end is the “Unified Connector”, where you can connect ANY specific bench cable, or our Express cable, that makes the connection to 87% of ECUs on your desk.

Now, you can diagnose the ECU, do adaptations, reset counters, and also RW its EEprom / firmware if it is supported. With this OBD2 adapter and your ‘UA ready’ cables, this is the quickest way on any ECU with any tool.
